What is recorded here

No human has seen most of it for centuries. Bog covered the wall, erased the boundary, and turned a living farm into a ghost. When cut away, the wall reappeared: thirty-three metres of stone, thin as a ribbon, still drawing a line across forgotten land.
Described by Quinn and Carroll (2010) as ‘a wall located in cut-away bog to N of cairn (CO080-033----). Orientated NW/SE. Wall exposed after bog was cut away. Length 33m, Width, 0.5m, Height 0.3m.’ Quinn, A and Carroll, M (2010) ‘Archaeological, Architectural and Cultural Heritage Assessment for a Proposed Wind Farm at Doonens Co. Cork’, Unpublished report, Tobar Archaeological Services. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 21 August 2013
