Detached three- or five-bay three-storey over part raised basement farmhouse, extant 1798, on a T-shaped plan with single-bay (single-bay deep) three-storey flat-roofed central return (north). Leased, 1901. Occupied, 1911. Renovated, 1990. For sale, 2007. Pitched slate roof overhanging flat roof (north) with clay ridge tiles, rendered red brick Running bond chimney stacks having corbelled stepped stringcourses below capping supporting terracotta or yellow terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered slate flagged eaves retaining cast-iron downpipes. Replacement cement rendered walls with rusticated rendered quoins to ends. Segmental-headed central door opening approached by flight of overgrown cut-granite steps, cut-granite doorcase with pilasters on plinths supporting archivolt centred on keystone framing timber panelled door having overlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing replacement uPVC casement windows replacing three-over-three (basement), six-over-six (ground floor); three-over-six (first floor) or three-over-three (top floor) timber sash windows. Set in unkempt grounds with limewashed roughcast piers to perimeter having shallow conical capping.

A farmhouse representing an integral component of the eighteenth-century domestic built heritage of south County Wexford with the architectural value of the composition suggested by such attributes as the deliberate alignment maximising on panoramic vistas overlooking rolling grounds; the symmetrical footprint centred on a Classically-detailed doorcase demonstrating good quality workmanship in a silver-grey granite; and the diminishing in scale of the openings on each floor producing a graduated visual impression. A prolonged period of unoccupancy notwithstanding, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with quantities of the original fabric: however, the introduction of replacement fittings to most of the openings has not had a beneficial impact on the external expression or integrity of the composition.
