Detached three-bay two-storey farm house, built c.1930, with later porch (south) and single-storey extension to rear (north). Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and coping. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings with six-over-six timber sliding sash windows and concrete sills. Square-headed door openings with replacement timber panelled and battened doors. Rubble stone outbuildings with corrugated-iron roofs to north. Enclosed by dry stone walls.

The form of this building is in keeping with the style of Congested Districts Board houses, which constructed houses from 1891-1923, in an attempt to improve living standards throughout Ireland. It was subsequently absorbed into the Land Commission, which continued much of its work. The building is well preserved, and retains much of its original form and style. It holds a prominent position in the landscape and combined with the associated outbuildings, which are an indication of continued site use, it makes a positive and pleasing contribution to the locality.
