What is recorded here

That is a fairy fort, an oval cashel fifty metres long on a south-facing slope in Treanbaun. People dropped marbles or coins into the hole and ran home before midnight, believing the fairies would claim the life of anyone who stayed to count them. The grassy ridge still marks the boundary, though no wall remains to touch.
