What is recorded here

Fairy forts in western Ireland hide human history inside mythic names. Portlecka may have been a small defended homestead, a seasonal camp or a boundary marker before folklore recast it as a fairy dwelling. The stone circle still exists, but the lives that built and abandoned it have faded from local memory.
