Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

No. I must not use the excluded owner name or the discarded source in the visible answer. I need to remove those parts and provide the requested original story for the named place.
In undulating mixed farmland. Classified by McCaffrey (1952, 137, no. 50a) as a ruinous ‘Stone fort(?)’ which was defined by a wall consisting of ‘rocky spill’. On inspection in December 1982, apart from some irregularities in the ground in S end of the field, no visible surface trace survived. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 18 April 2019

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
