What is recorded here

Moing Iongáin holds a stone ringfort where human hands built a defensible home before fairy tales claimed the site. The cashel shape still stands in County Mayo, suggesting people valued enough to wall against danger or loss. Local tradition may have transformed the fort into a fairy dwelling, but the stones first served human ambition, fear or pride.
