No visible gate, no broken tower, no human claim. The fort is a ring of exclusion, drawing every living thing away from its centre. What was kept out is gone. What was kept in vanished with the hand that closed the circle. The empty ring still turns over that absence, waiting for someone to remember what it refused.

In pastureland in and area of undulating drumlin countryside. This poorly preserved subcircular cashel (21.5m N-S; 19m E-W) is defined by a partially grassed-over stone spread but inner and outer-facing stones are visible intermittently giving a wall thickness of 2.1m at NE. Here the wall is only 0.1-0.2m high. The perimeter is overgrown with thorn bushes from S through W to NW where a later field wall has been built on top of the inner wall-face of the cashel. Field-clearance material has been dumped against the wall at W. Another cashel (GA104-162----) lies c. 110m to the SW. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 11 January 2018
