Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Laghtyshaughnessy

Laghtyshaughnessy in County Galway holds a broken oval cashel, forty to forty-nine metres across, where a collapsed drystone wall disappears under grass and a later field wall. The site is so poor that measurement replaces memory, yet the shape still suggests a fortified place rather than a random heap of stones. Human hands built the ring, time broke it, and farming crossed the ruin without asking permission.
