Knocknakilla holds a lost quarter-acre fort where a curving stone foundation still lies hidden in pasture. Broker identified the site on Batt Kelliher's land in 1937, but the main structure has vanished or sunk from view. A possible underground passage remains inside the marker, suggesting the fort may have hidden more than its walls once showed.

Broker (1937, 46) refers to 'fort, 1/4 acre' with 'stone fence like wall around it' on Batt Kelliher's land. Exact location not known. Foundation of gently curving E-W stone wall (Wth 2m; H 0.3m; L 8m) in pasture may mark location of site. Possible Man-made underground passage (9069) in interior.
