Greyford holds a stone ringfort where local legend claims fairy activity. The fort still stands as a marked archaeological site, preserving the shape of human defence and daily life long before modern records. People may have built the stones to keep out invaders, while later storytelling turned the same structure into a fairy fort. Both ideas point to one truth: the place demanded respect, and memory shaped it into wonder.
