No visible gate, no obvious entrance. The boundary is a low circular wall of loose stone, broken in places, hidden in grass and bramble. The field around it is open, but the circle itself resists easy reading. That contradiction is the feature. A fort should exclude. This one seems to have forgotten how.

On a rise in undulating pastureland. Known locally as the site of a ‘Bishop's house’, this poorly preserved circular cashel (diam. 30m) is defined by a drystone wall (Wth at N 2.5m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 1.2m), much obscured by overgrowth. The W half of the interior is completely overgrown and the E half has been partially cleared. Some field-clearance material visible may be the result of this work. Faint traces of earthen banks to the E may be associated.
