Drumanoo holds a ruined stone ring beside the sea where a thick wall once rose before collapsing into pasture. The circle measures nearly twenty metres across and still uses a natural cliff for part of its boundary. Two low stone pads mark the inner edge, perhaps showing where rooms or shelters stood inside. People may have lived there, watched the water or kept animals close while believing the fort belonged to fairies.

Internal diam. 19.6m E-W, 23m NNW-SSE. A subcircular area enclosed by a ring of small stones, the remains of a collapsed and robbed stone wall. The site exploits a small rock cliff on the N side. A modern wall is built on the cashel collapse on the NW side. The original width of the wall was c. 3.25m. A low subcircular rise of stone c. 5.6m in diameter and 0.5m in height abuts the inner edge of the wall collapse on SSW side. Just beside and also abutting the wall is a second subcircular rise of stones, 3.7m × 3.2m and 0.4m in height. These may possibly indicate structures. The site is situated on a slight prominence in undulating pasture sloping NW to the sea. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
