Mnemo records Derryhoyle More as a collapsed oval cashel, thirty to thirty-five metres across, now buried beneath pasture and overgrowth. The local name lios suggests people once believed the site belonged to fairies rather than humans. A children's burial ground lies nearby, reminding that the place still holds dead bodies and human time. Forgetting the fairy story does not remove the children, the stone, or the loss of life that made the area sacred.

In reclaimed pastureland. Known locally as a ‘lios’, this very poorly preserved and much-collapsed roughly oval cashel (c. 35m N-S; c. 30m WNW-ENE) is obscured throughout by overgrowth.
