No visible wall remains in Cregganna Beg, but a man-made underground passage once ran beneath a roadside bush beside the foundations of a stone ringfort. People lived around or avoided that hidden place, while trucks and reclamation filled the passage in the 1950s. Now only clearance rubble at the base of an elder bush marks the fort, leaving the ground to keep its shape in memory instead of stone.

In gently undulating pastureland. Holt (1912, 226, no. 42) refers to 'a Man-made underground passage [GA095-019001-], under a bush near the roadside, with some traces of the foundations of a caher wall'. According to the landowner, the field was cleared of rock in the 1950s during land reclamation. While he did not recall the 'stone fort', the Man-made underground passage was filled in and covered with rubble at that time. Its site is marked by some clearance rubble around the base of an elder bush. No visible surface trace of the cashel survives.
