What is recorded here

Fairy forts and stone ringforts mark ancient townlands across Ireland. They are cashels, defensive or domestic sites built with stone walls. Some were homes, shelters or boundary markers. Others were places of story, where the ordinary world thinned. The name Fairy fort reflects that edge. People saw these circles as liminal, belonging partly to memory and partly to imagination. They are not fantasy. They are human remains shaped by time into mystery.
