What is recorded here

Cooga in Inchiquin by holds a stone ringfort, a place where human hands built a defensible circle before the land forgot their names. The stones still stand in a tight ring, marking a boundary between the ordinary field and a time when people lived under open sky. It is not a fairy tale, though local memory may have dressed it in one; it is a human fort, stripped of its timber and roof, waiting for someone to imagine the lives it held.
