Kinny Lough and the surrounding fields witnessed the rise and fall of this cashel. The wall has largely surrendered to time, leaving only scattered stones on a flat, grassy knoll. Yet the shape remains clear enough to imagine people moving through the gateway, tending livestock, or watching the water below. What is missing has not vanished entirely. It has changed form, sinking into soil, memory and the life of the landscape.

Internal diam. 18m SW-NE, 25m NW-SE. All that remains of this cashel are a few scattered stones of the outer face of the wall. It enclosed the flat top of a prominent rocky knoll which is roughly oval in plan. The interior is level and grass covered. It stands in undulating countryside in fairly good land adjacent to Kinny Lough. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
