Fairy fort in Castlecarra: oval stone ring, 37 by 29 metres, on a west-facing slope beside rock outcrop, 150 metres north-northwest of a cashel. Its wall remains only as low foundations, while the interior has become a tangle of vegetation split by a stone fence. A possible underground passage lies hidden within, suggesting the fort was not merely a boundary but a place for keeping, hiding or moving through darkness.

On W-facing slope surrounded by rock outcrop, 150m NNW of cashel (MA100-045001-). Oval-shaped area (37m N-S; 29m E-W), enclosed by low foundations of stone wall S to N. Interior heavily overgrown and bisected N-S by stone fence. Possible Man-made underground passage (MA100-044001-) in interior. The above description has been derived from D.
