Carrowdotia preserves a stone ringfort that local legend transforms into a fairy fort, blending human defense with supernatural danger. The cashel shape suggests people once lived there, watched the land, and resisted intrusion, but the fairy label warns that the site still belongs to unseen residents. Human history and fairy tale collide in the same stones, reminding visitors that clarity often disappears when the border between worlds thins.
