Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Bushypark

No amount of rain or doubt will erase the fact that a ringfort stands at the crest of a south-facing slope in a karst landscape. Its grass-covered circle measures about thirty metres across, bounded by a wide stone spread whose inner and outer faces still emerge intermittently, especially toward the north-west and east. There is no visible entrance, which makes the place feel less like a ruined human home and more like a threshold where ordinary perception stops. The inner face has been rebuilt on the east side, yet the original stone work still asserts itself beneath grass, soil and memory.
