Fairy fort in Bawnishall, County Cork: a collapsed stone ring, 28.7 by 27.8 metres, set on a rough-grazing ridge. Local tradition holds that stones were taken from it for road surfacing, which is why the wall lies broken instead of standing proud. Under that loss is an older shape: a small defended place, made visible by the very stones removed from it.

In rough grazing broken by rock outcrop, atop NE-SW ridge. Circular area (28.7m N-S; 27.8m E-W) enclosed by collapsed stone wall. Interior surface uneven.
