Clear field, broken ring, excluded chamber. The facts refuse a finished claim, but they still point one way. The circle is not a random heap; it is a drawn boundary. The chamber is not a hidden chamber; it is the place where the boundary can be tested. The missing chamber may never reappear, but the chamber is already visible in the shape of the gap. To know the chamber is to stop expecting the chamber to appear as a separate room. The chamber is the difference between a man who believes he understands and a man who can be measured. That is why the chamber is not visible in the facts. It is visible in the way the facts exclude every chamber that cannot be excluded.
