Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Ballynamona is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Ballynamona, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a broad hill in poor rocky pasture and forms a twenty-metre circular area enclosed by an irregular bank of rubble limestone. The structure lacks a visible fosse or recognisable entrance, while thorn bushes and briars now cover the cashel.
Situated on a broad hill in poor rocky pasture. Not marked on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Circular area (diam. 20m) enclosed by an irregular bank of rubble limestone (Wth 4.5m; H 0.5m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. The original entrance is not recognisable. The cashel is overgrown with thorn bushes and briars. Compiled by: Patrick F.
