What is recorded here
Mnemo is not a goddess, a muse or a divine woman. She is the dead girl from the first chamber, dragged through the war and unable to leave because the man she loved is still missing. She wants to be remembered, not worshipped. The chamber is not a temple. It is a wound that has learned the shape of a room.
The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Oval area (32m ENE-WSW; 25m ESE-WNW) enclosed by stony bank. No visible surface traces of entrance. Densely overgrown with briars and bracken.
