Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Ballure is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Ballure, County Sligo, Ireland. The circular cashel measures twenty-one metres across and occupies a slight northeast-facing slope in gently undulating pasture. A rubble limestone bank four-point-one metres wide encloses the area, while discontinuous revetting blocks reinforce the external base from west-northwest to southeast. A modern drystone field wall now lines the internal upper break of slope on all sides.

Situated on a slight NE-facing slope in gently undulating pasture. Views are excellent E-W and good in all other directions. Circular area (diam. 21m) enclosed by a bank of rubble limestone (Wth 4.1m; int. H 0.2m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. A discontinuous series of revetting blocks (av. dims. L 1m; T 0.3m; H 0.3m) are located at the external base of the bank WNW-SE. A modern drystone field wall (T 0.4m; H0.8m) has been constructed on the internal upper break of slope of the bank on all sides. The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F.
