Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Altanelvick is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Altanelvick, County Sligo, Ireland. The circular cashel sat on a north-south ridge in reclamed pasture and contained two widely spaced outer walls with radial divisions. Farming work levelled the site in the 1960s, leaving only a slightly raised circular area about twenty-nine metres across where faint wall remnants still appear.
Situated on a N-S ridge in reclamed pasture. Not marked on any edition of the OS 6-inch map. Circular cashel enclosed by 2 widely-spaced outer walls whose intervening spaces were divided by radial walls and other more irregular subdivisions identified from aerial photograph (ACP V 203/ 148-9; Roll 25, pr. 19 & 20). The cashel was levelled in the 1960's. Remains comprise a slightly raised circular area (diam. c. 29m) with ephemeral remnants of the two outer walls still identifiable. Compiled by: Patrick F.
