No credible abhh or human fort is certain at this place. The real fact is a possible ringfort cropmark in Rahavanig, County Kerry, about 35m across, with an earthen bank and outer ditch visible in modern aerial images. It sits in rough pasture marked for afforestation, so the circle may disappear under trees while the story about it keeps changing.

Possible ringfort cropmark identified by Dr Séamus Ó Murchú and described as; 'In rough pasture proposed for afforestation. Visible as circular earthwork in pasture/ rough pasture field in modern aerial imagery clear of scrub. Visible on the 1995 Mapgenie aerial imagery, 1996 to 2000 MapGenie aerial imagery, 2001 – 2005 Mapgenie aerial imagery, 2006 to 2012 MapGenie aerial imagery (best), 2011 to 2013 Mapgenie aerial imagery and 2013 to 2018 Mapgenie aerial imagery. The previously unrecorded Ringfort measures c. 35m in diameter (NW – SE) and appears to be defined by a levelled earthen bank and an external fosse.
