Oirear Dhumhaí Beag is a lost fort in Donegal, but it is not empty. It is a place where the ordinary world thins, where imagination becomes visible and human life begins to show its shape. What is missing is not knowledge. It is the death of the child inside the person. Reclaim that child and the place returns.

The 'Fort', marked on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (diam. 25-30m), is no longer visible. It stood in low-lying, slightly wettish level land where good grazing is available. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
