On NE-facing slope of a gentle rise. Known locally as 'Caher', this circular ringfort (D 35m) was initially visited in October 1983. It was defined by a bank of earth and stone from NE through S to NW; elsewhere a scarp formed the enclosing element. Within the interior were two internal dividing banks, and a CBG (GA056-109001-) may also have been associated. The monument was subsequently levelled in 1988. A ringfort (GA056-110----) lies c. 250m to SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
