What is recorded here

Laurclavagh in County Galway holds a ruined circular stone wall, partly hidden by green growth, with a small stone chamber touching its inner edge. The chamber may have been a house inside a defended settlement, while a separate enclosure waits a hundred metres away. Together they suggest ordinary human life: building, bounding, remembering, and leaving stone behind for others to misread.

In grassland close to SW limits of a field system (GA057-164----). Poorly preserved almost circular cashel (D 25m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall completely obscured by overgrowth from N through E to SE. A D-shaped structure of stone (L 2.9m, Wth 2.4m) abuts the inner face of the cashel wall at SSW; possibly a house. An enclosure (GA057-132----) lies 100m to SW.
