Killygowan, County Cavan: A hidden ringfort, possibly a fairy fort in local story, waits beside the upper Loughtee By. Its earthworks may have marked a small defensive home, a boundary, or a place people avoided after dark. The river, rain and time have softened its edges, but the name and shape still point to human life in that valley.
