Killilagh holds a subrectangular ringfort nearly thirty metres across, its one-metre scarp still visible on an SE-facing slope above wide pastureland. The fort abuts an old field boundary, while a medieval church and graveyard wait eighty-five metres west, linking human worship to earlier domestic life. Loose stones and cleared rubble scatter the undulating interior, suggesting repeated occupation rather than a single abandoned moment. The name fairy fort appears in local tradition, yet the measured shape and church proximity point to an ordinary Clare settlement that outlived its builders.

On an SE-facing slope in undulating pastureland, with wide views. Hachured on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. This subrectangular ringfort (29.5m NE-SW; 26.5m NW-SE) is defined by a scarp (H 1m). Loose stones and field-clearance rubble are visible on the surface of the undulating interior. The NE side of the ringfort abuts a levelled field boundary running NW-SE. A medieval church (CL008-063001-) within a graveyard (CL008-063002-) lies c. 85m to the W.
