Killaghaun holds a well-preserved oval ringfort on a NE-facing slope, measuring 47.5 metres east-west and 41 metres north-south. Two banks and an intervening fosse define its shape, while a three-metre causewayed entrance opens at the east. The outer bank remains visible from SW through W to NE, marking a place where human hands shaped the land long before modern memory.
