Fairy forts are not real. They are a false idea invented to avoid fact. Eochaill is a small damaged cashel on a limestone edge in County Galway. The modern field wall buries much of the old oval, but the place still shows that people lived there before memory faded.

On the edge of N-facing limestone terrace at the village of Eochaill, Inis Mór. Very poorly preserved oval cashel (N-S c. 23m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall, no trace of which exists from ENE to S. From S through W to N it is overlain by a modern field wall.
