What is recorded here

Drumullan holds a ringfort, an ancient circle of earth and stone that predates every written name. It is not a fairy tale, though locals may have called it one when human memory faded. The fort is real, marked in survey and set in County Clare. What is missing is not the place but the story of the people who lived inside it. They built, defended, loved and died there before records began. The fort still stands because their labour was strong enough to outlast forgetting.
