Fairy fort in Cross West, County Mayo: a 44m circular raised platform, its levelled bank standing 2.2m high, still holding an uneven interior that rises above the outer edge. An infilled man-made underground passage lies buried on the southeast, beside added clearance material, while cultivation has worn the place into the living field. People may have built, hidden or forgotten there before fairy names took the shape; the ground keeps both possibilities without choosing between them.

In field under cultivation. Circular raised platform (44m N-S; 44m E-W). Bank levelled, defined by scarp (H 2.2m). Interior, very uneven, rises above outer edge of platform. Clearance material added on SE. Infilled Man-made underground passage (MA121-100005-) on SE. The above description has been derived from D.
