Fairy fort / ringfort in Connahy stands on rising land above the Nore river valley, its wide earthen bank and deep fosse still marking a circular space nearly sixty metres across. Dense scrub now smothers much of the rim, yet the shape remains clear enough to suggest people once lived, watched the valley or kept something back behind that barrier. The nearby field system and small enclosure hint that this was not a lonely mound but part of a working landscape, perhaps watched over, tended and remembered long after its first builders left it behind.

On land rising just above the flood plain of the Nore river valley, in rolling grassland. There are good views across the valley. The monument is heavily overgrown with dense scrub. A roughly circular raised area (int. diam. on 25-inch OS map c. 60m N-S; c. 62m E-W) enclosed by a wide, high earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 1m; ext. H 1.6m) and wide external fosse (Wth 5m; D 0.8m). A field system (KK010-149----) immediately to the SE may be associated and there is a small enclosure (KK010-150----) c. 40m to the SW. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 10 December 2018
