Fairy fort in Cloonmweelaun, County Galway: an oval rath, 37m north-south and 22.1m east-west, on a prominent rise in undulating grassland. Its south-east edge has been lost to quarrying, but the remaining scarp still marks a place set above the ordinary field. People may have lived there, feared it, or simply taken stone from it; the ground keeps all three possibilities without explaining them.
