Fairy fort / ringfort in Clogh

Clogh holds a subcircular ringfort thirty-three metres long on a grassy rise, its western bank still standing while a sharpened scarp completes the remaining circle. The visible berm encloses the whole, marking the edge of a home, a refuge or a boundary now stripped of its wooden doors and hearth smoke. People may have lived inside that tight oval, watched the changing light or kept what they valued from the open land. The grass moves around the ancient line, but the shape still resists forgetting.
