Located on a slight prominence in the Bonet river valley. It is indicated as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) described as a 'fort' on the 1835 edition of the OS 6-inch map and as a hachured feature (diam. c. 35m) on the 1907 edition. No feature visible at ground level in an overgrown area (diam. c. 40m) but it is known locally as a fort that had an earthen bank. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003).
