What is recorded here

Castlecooly is a place where the field itself has swallowed its own marker. The survey named a ringfort on a low hillock, but the land now presents only grass, soil and the memory of a line that once cut through it. What disappeared is not an error, but a transformation: the fort became the field, and the field became the story.

There is no sign of the single-ringed 'Fort' marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map. It was situated on a low hillock in well cultivated land.
