Fairy fort in Castlebin South is a well-preserved oval rath on a prominent hillock in County Galway, measuring 44.1m WNW-ESE and 37m WSW-ENE. Its bank runs from E through S to WNW, with a scarp elsewhere and a possible entrance at WSW. Two subrectangular hollows inside appear modern, but the ancient shape still holds its ground, inviting wonder about who lived there and what they guarded.
