Fairy fort / ringfort in Carheenlea stands on a prominent Galway rise, its thirty-metre circle reduced to a low, densely overgrown bank. The southern gap, perhaps an ancient doorway, still faces the open grassland where people may have lived, feared, or played long before the stones lost their shape.

On a prominent rise in grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D c. 30m) defined by a low densely overgrown bank. A gap (Wth 3.5m) at SSW could be original.
