Fairy fort in Bunavan, County Galway: a shallow ring, 31 metres by 28, with a low bank at NE and SW and a faint outer ditch from north through east to south. The middle has been taken out at NE, perhaps for stones or soil, leaving the ghost of a house or yard in level grassland. A hundred metres north-west another earthwork waits, suggesting this was not a lonely mark but a small neighbourhood of fields, fences and memory.

In level grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 31m, E-W 28m) defined by a low bank at NE and SW, and elsewhere by a scarp. A shallow external fosse survives from N through E to S. The interior has been quarried out at NE. An earthwork (GA061-018----) lies c. 100m to NW.
