Fairy fort / ringfort in Boystown OR Baltyboys Upper

Situated on a gentle SW-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 30m) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.5m; H 0.7-1.1m) with a discontinuous inner and outer revetment of low boulders. There are two gaps, one at the N (Wth 1.6m) and another at the SE (Wth 2.24m). No trace of an external fosse or internal features. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
