Fairy fort in Atticoffey West is a vanished ringfort, circular and forty metres across, buried beneath grassland on a drumlin in County Galway. It appeared on maps as a fort, but the land has swallowed the ridge, leaving only the name and a clean green slope where a wall once stood. The disappearance is not a failure of evidence; it is the shape of the place, a human boundary dissolved back into the field.

On a drumlin in grassland. Named. 'Fort' on OS Fair Plan and marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1947) as a circular enclosure (D c. 40m). No visible surface trace survives. (Topgr.
