An Ghallbhuaile holds a forgotten ringfort beside the River Finn, where a slight rise in rough pasture still marks the stone enclosure. The structure needed extra height on its southern edge to resist the valley's demands, suggesting human hands shaped the landscape against natural forces. Whether people lived there or fled storms remains unknown, but the boundary between made and natural space still emerges through grass and soil.

A slight rise 20m-30m might indicate the position of the 'Fort' marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map. It was situated in rough pasture on the side of the valley of the River finn and would have had to be raised on its S side. The field walls and local topography would suggest a stone enclosure.
