Fairy fort in Urraghry, County Galway: a vanished ringfort on Urraghy Hill, mapped around 1840 but no longer visible. It may have been a home, a boundary marker, or a child’s climbing hill before people stopped shaping it. The grass keeps the shape private now, while imagination fills the hollow circle.

On E flank of Urraghy Hill in undulating grassland. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (D c. 30m). No visible surface trace survives. Another earthwork (GA087-224----) lies c. 50m to SSE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
