Fairy fort in Twentyacres, County Longford: a 26.8m earthen ring on a low ridge, its entrance lost to plough and time. The bank stands barely half a metre high, yet the circle remains clear in pasture, a reminder that size does not determine the strength of a boundary. People may have lived there, feared there, or simply refused to break the shape because it felt alive.

On a low NW-SE ridge in pasture. A raised circular area (diam. 26.8m) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.2m; H 0.55m max.) with a shallow external fosse (Wth 3.9m; D 0.2m). From NNE-E-SSE the bank and fosse have been levelled and the defining element is a low scarp (H 0.7m). The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F.
